Dry brushing has become really popular. It seems like everyone I follow online is doing it... but why? And how? Read on, and I'll share with you the benefits of dry brushing, and the correct way to do it!
What is it?
Dry brushing is exactly what it sounds like! You use a soft bristle brush to stroke your skin in an upward motion. Why Dry Brush? One of the biggest benefits of dry brushing is the increased lymphatic flow. You brush in upward strokes towards your heart, and this is supposed to help stimulate and support the lymphatic system. Another benefit of dry brushing is exfoliation. The soft bristles of a dry brush are great for exfoliating any dry, dead skin cells. Dry brushing is also said to help reduce cellulite. While that is totally anecdotal, I say it's worth a shot, right?! How to Dry Brush
Make sure you are using a brush made specifically for dry brushing. A good dry brush should have soft, natural bristles that won't scratch or damage your skin. This is the brush that I use (You can use code JACK15 for 15% off). Have you ever tried dry brushing? What was your experience? I'd love to hear about it in the comments! *This post contains affiliate links.
