Ever heard of an armpit detox? Well if you’re using a natural deodorant or interested in switching to one (milk of magnesia is a great option by the way. You can read more about that HERE), to see the best results you’ll want to do an armpit detox. The main reason your pits may get stinky is actually due to toxins that build up (partly as a result of using chemical-filled deodorants. Ironic, right?). The bentonite clay in this recipe helps to pull toxins out, while the apple cider vinegar and tree oil are both anti-fungal and anti-microbial.
You may need to repeat the detox a couple of times before you see big results, but you should expect to experience less odor, and if you’ve ever gotten a rash from natural deodorant before this can help to eliminate that.
Armpit Detox Recipe: - 1 tbsp bentonite clay - 1 tsp apple cider vinegar (with the mother) - 5 drops tea tree oil - additional water if needed to create a paste Mix all of the ingredients together to create a paste. Spread evenly over your underarms, and let sit for about 20 minutes. Rinse off. As I mentioned above, you may need to do this more than once to experience optimal results, especially if you’ve been using conventional deodorant for a long time. Have you ever done an armpit detox? I’d love to hear about your experience in the comments! *This post contains affiliate links. However, I only share products that I use and love. Promise.
